There are also some words on it.

T: Look at the list of words and say which words are similar in Russian?

Students read through the words with the class and name those words which are similar in Russian.

T:Make up as many word combinations with these words as you can.

III. Listening (ex. 1, p.184)

T: Cinema plays an important role in the life of any society. It is an available popular form of art. Lots of people find going to the cinema one of the best ways of spending their leisure time. Do you know who made the first film? What was it about?

Students make suggestions. Then they listen to the cassette to check if they are right. 

T: So, this film was shown on the 28th of December in 1895, but on the 22nd of March in 1895 in Paris during the discussion at a conference of the photographic the Lumiere brothers organized the close preview movie. The audience was shown "The output of workers from the factory"

IV. Reading (ex. 2, p. 184-185)

T: Of late cinema screens in the country have been dominated by films produced in the USA. And this tendency is growing. The development of cinematography brought to life the word cinema empire called Hollywood. 

After reading the text you must answer the questions: 

Who made the first film in Hollywood?

When did the first studio appear in Hollywood?

What was the first colour film?

What are the biggest film companies in Hollywood?

Why did Hollywood get the name of the factory of dreams?

Then students fill the word web using the text. (можно заполнить, используя интерактивную доску)

V. Grammar (ex. 3, p. 186-187)

T: There are some names from the film making industry that are known all over the world. What are these people famous for?

Students answer the question using LCG and relative clause.(remind students how to use relative clauses with who, which)

T: Now you must do the taskThe sentences in this exercise are not complete. Chose the most suitable ending from the list and make it into a relative clause with who or which
